It's brill Dizz-I wouldn't want to judge it for all the tea in China-we had some great ones a while ago, but I think this may top them .

A Frightful Halloween Poem

If I were a zombie
I'd eat you for lunch
munch munch munch munch!
your bones I would crunch
I would pack a punch
and your pants
would be in a bunch!
Hahahahahaha!!!!!

If i were a vampire
I would bite your neck
it would hurt like heck
a bushel and a peck
you'd be greener than Shrek
and when I sucked you dry
you'd soon hit the deck!
Hahahahahaha!!!!!

If I were a werewolf
I'd rip you to bits
and put you on a ritz
you'd be on the fritz
you'd be doing the splits
and your clothes
would be totally the.....pits!
Hahahahahaha!!!!!

If I were a witch
on you I'd cast a spell
you'd soon look like hell
like garbage you'd smell
and you'd feel most unwell
and afterwards
you would not go LOL!
Hahahahahaha!!!!!

If I were a ghost
I'd haunt you all night
you would look a fright
your face would be white
you'd yell with all your might
and early next morning
you would be a pitiful sight!

Grab a drink, pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable and I'll tell you a story:-

OBLIVION.

The 'tingle' first pushed it's way into his mind as he stood in front of the strange house he'd been unable to get out of his head since he first saw the "For Sale" sign, now it was apprehension -an urge to see more- a hope that he wasn't about to be disappointed. Slightly shabby and rough
round the edges; yet oddly tidy for a house which had been un-loved for so many years-something about it tugged at him, soon he would know.

He reached out to open the rickety gate but found no latch, puzzled he gave it a hefty push, it was surprisingly solid, - suddenly it shot open, he lost balance, grabbing at the hedge for support, just as quickly it slammed behind him..........a hoarse laugh rang out ..was it laughing at him?
He thought he noticed a change in the air, a tension - a low insistant pulsating hum .. briefly he wondered if he should change his mind about viewing so late in the evening, but instead strode confidently towards the front door.

For what seemed an age he stood, eyes wide in bewilderment, the hefty door had vanished and he could see straight into a room, lit by dozens of pumpkin lanterns, latticed with spiders webs where irridescent butterflies swung lazily and sleek black cats lounged on fat cushions by the
blazing fire..he could hear music and briefly saw a girl, head thrown back laughing as her body gave in to the rythym, curls flying, heels clicking as her skirts twirled- the glimpse was enough....now he knew.

No more hesitation- he took the steps two at a time-the room disappeared and his face smacked against wood-the door was back!. Barely distracted, his tongue licked at the deep red flowing from his nostrils and he wiped the back of his hand across his eyes, rapidly filling with blood from his split brows -he had to get into this house!- his stomach tightened with the adrenaline rush.. hurling himself forward he tried again..this time he fell in..face down on cold stone.- the cats, suddenly wary, puma like, lifted glowing amber eyes, spat and hissed whilst lapping hungrily at the spattering blood...one swiped languidly at his face, claws ripping his cheek to the bone...but the girl was dancing away down the hallway into another room...he had to follow...he could feel no pain.

Cold--this room was so cold---..lit only by giant pumpkins, flames tugged every whichway by the gusts of freezing wind...door slammed .. the flickering gloom outlined the back of the girl...his eyes strained to see into the mirror reflecting her lovely image, he needed to see her...he must have her..sweat oozed from every pore, dark fear became overwhelming and he shrank into the corner, back to the wall...foetal curling...eyes black..hands to his face to defend from...he knew not what....but he was dying to be with the girl that night.

As she slowly turned towards him, a cackle of pure evil filled the room, climbing the walls, across the ceiling, rolling over the floor .she raised her arms releasing silent hordes of.sharp wings beating.. again.. again.. diving, raking his flesh .. butterflies now stinking sharp toothed bats....the sounds approached his body, violent vibrations forced back his head...baring his defenceless throat...eyes closed he held out his hands to her, desperate to draw her down to part his lips with her own - waiting....waiting ...the smell hit his nostrils..rancid decay...his eyes flashed open...mouth stretched wide in rictus scream....he saw......he saw unspeakable horror....he had his wish.... as the vampire nuzzled his throat... lips caressing his dripping jugular....she drained his life with satin fangs....... loved into oblivion.
