When travelling around the island, visitors can see evidence of the local witches as traditional Guernsey granite houses often have a ‘corbel’, a protruding stone, specifically designed for them to rest on. It was thought safer to be kind to witches and encourage them to sit down outside the home rather than cause havoc within!

Gracious what a sight! lol . Poor old witchy poohs strung on the side of a house to be battered by the elements. Still, far better n being strung up or burned.

Smashing pics are these. The water on the rocks looks menacing and yet relaxing, if those two things can go together that is, not sure they can but you know what I was getting at i'm sure.

What a lovely beach. Just one man and his dog. Heaven.
I just love long lonely walks on a deserted beach with the wind blowing.
I can't be doing with busy beaches and the worse is when you have
staked out a piece of beach in the summer away from everyone and someone then
decides they must come and lay at the side of you. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
